How to Clean and Cook a Wild Turkey
Posted By Michael on March 25, 2008
With most state’s turkey seasons already started, or nearing, I thought some of you beginning turkey hunters might could use this info. I know when I took my first bird, I had no clue as to how to clean and/or cook Ol’ Tom.
This article written by Adam Pritchett, an Alabama Wildlife Biologist, provides some very good tips on both cleaning and coooking. Of course, maybe I’m getting the cart before the horse, so I’ll try and dig up some good turkey hunting tips to make sure you have a bird to subject to the cleaning/cooking process!
Happy Hunting (and Cleaning and Cooking!),
Michael
